I’m not really into romance novels or love stories but today, I felt like taking a leap of faith and bought this. Actually, I’ve seen this book before. I remember myself passing by that familiar aisle inside a bookstore several times just to get a glimpse of it.
I have a thing for lighthouses, or sceneries involving them for that matter. There’s just that certain charm and romantic feel about them and this book’s cover efficiently captured it all. I’d love to make room for this book in my own shelf if only for the cover but for the longest time, I didn’t know why I was reluctant to do so.
Maybe I’m not much of a Nicholas Sparks fan, although I’ve seen “A Walk To Remember”, “The Notebook”, “The Last Song” and “Dear John”. I’m aware of his fame and caliber but I’ve never ever read him, let alone own any of his many masterpieces.
And now, because I believe in something (or maybe someone), I’ll finally get myself to discover the world of Sparks in printed form.
My favorite book next to Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird :D
