I’ve been meaning to make Harold an appreciation post since I met him earlier this month during the Intramuros Photowalk. It was because we’ve grown to be good friends—phone pals if you’d like to call it that way. We talk a lot, although most of the time he’s the one talking (blah blah blah). The good thing is when I talk, he usually quiets down, most probably in awe of my wisdom! Haha!

While I was in Iloilo last week, he called me again as I was asking the hotel security for directions to Guimaras Island. I answered and he ended up giving me directions which he got from googling and wikimapia-ing… err and dictating to me directions. By the way, he’s in Dubai and he was in front of his computer that time. He was the one who told me to go to San Pedro Port in Iloilo City where I rode the boat to reach the island. So really, he’s part of my success in reaching Guimaras Island and back. He also guided me to Molo Church, which is already one of my favourite Churches that I’ve been to. I really couldn’t imagine navigating without his help. I am indebted. He was practically my virtual companion. (I mean who does that?) :)

I never imagined I’d be involved in a friendship like this and I’m just thankful for it all. One call away, Harold! As long as I’m not sleepy or driving or at the lab where poor service reception is a way of life.
