I made myself the Wedding Coordinator for my parent’s 25th Wedding Anniversary. The role was inevitable since I was the one who gave them the idea of renewing their marriage vows. I certainly have a thing for weddings and I have a knack for floral arrangements and organizing parties (it really makes use of my OCD), so I carried on with the conceptualizing and planning, and did everything I could; I was hands-on. It was a very personal journey for all of us in our family. It took me almost 2 years to think and conceptualize and fabricate what’s inside my mind. During that course, I learned so many things about my parents, my family, our relatives, God, myself and love. It was all about love, after all. So much so that I even realized love within that two-year period.
I’m grateful I succeeded and have overcome so many obstacles. I have proven myself as a florist. I have proven that I could accomplish goals and tasks and that nothing is really impossible when you put your heart into it. I am a living proof of that. I couldn’t be happier that it’s finished. I am grateful for those who gave their support and especially to those who believed in me.
I offer all of I did to my parents, to their love, my family and yes, to love itself.

I was just outside the laboratories this morning as I was talking on the phone. I don’t know why but somehow, very randomly, a part of me said that my days here at the office were numbered. As if the winds of change were coming and that part of me knew it. It was exciting and nostalgic at the same time. And even if I deny it, the truth is this place has been a home to me for almost two years and though leaving it is my desire, I can say for certain that I’ve learned so much and I have contributed enough.
This photograph was taken about a year ago in the Seed Laboratory where I spent a significant amount of time and where I’ve learned so much. Yes, it’s dingy and it had an awful smell, but it was home and I was very happy for a time. Behold, a smile.

Hey! My picture doing photomicroscopy was included in our office’s 2011 annual report. How cool is that?

Thank God it’s Friday! - Favorite day at the office

When you wake up from a good dream, even though you’re a bit sleep deprived, you smile.

My summer starts in July. That’s some time from now so I’ll just have to browse through my archives for reminiscing. Here are two photographs my mom took of me while in Punta Villa Resort and Hotel, Iloilo City, February 2012.
